For a bulk billed clinic, this clinic has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with a friendly reception team and nursing staff. The waiting areas and treatment rooms are clean and well maintained. However, opening hours and availability have become very limited which makes it difficult to access urgent assessments. I personally found the assessments less thorough, with no eye contact, and brisk communication style, after the female GP moved.

I’ve never had such a great experience with a medical clinic until visiting A1 Doctor Surgery in Sydenham. The GPs here genuinely listen, take your concerns seriously, and act promptly. They’ve helped me get on top of my health issues faster and more thoroughly than any GP I’ve seen in the past. The care feels personal, not rushed, and the entire team is friendly and professional. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality, compassionate healthcare.

Booking was seamless—I secured a same-day appointment, which was incredibly convenient. The cost was remarkably affordable at just $150, with an additional $7 for the Ferinject medication, making it one of the most cost-effective options I found in Victoria. Nurse Sadiqa provided outstanding care. She not only administered the infusion with professionalism but also conducted a blood circulation check and a diabetes screening—services I hadn't experienced during previous infusions elsewhere. Her thoroughness and attention to detail were truly commendable. She was so friendly I even overheard her catering to another elderly and was so friendly. I even told her she was meant to be at this job as she does it very well. The reception staff were equally impressive. They were warm, welcoming, and took the time to explain every step of the process beforehand, ensuring I felt comfortable and well-informed throughout my visit. Overall, this was my best iron infusion experience to date. The combination of affordability, comprehensive care, and exceptional staff made for an outstanding visit.
