Did you know there are two main types of garage door springs — and they work very differently?

🔧 Torsion Springs are mounted above the garage door and twist to lift the door. They’re stronger, longer-lasting, and offer smoother, safer operation. Most modern garage doors use torsion springs.

🪛 Extension Springs, on the other hand, stretch and contract on either side of the door. They're typically found on older doors and tend to wear out faster or snap without warning if not maintained.
