This company came out to our residence Tuesday, technician quickly got the heat pump going. Explained they struggle in the colder temperatures but confirmed we have heat strips so we should be good. He flipped the breaker on the unit and it fired up fine. Seemed confused about why it wasn’t heating for a couple of days. He decided to take a second look. On the next peek, found the hard start kit had fried. Replaced it. It was heating, so he left. It went out again Wednesday night. We didn’t call on the first because it was a holiday. Called the next morning, crazy early, and were given a 4pm appointment. At a quarter to 5, when no one has called or showed up, we call back. Receptionist said they needed a part and the parts houses are closed now so they can’t do anything. “We’ll have someone out on Monday.” My issue was the poor communication. Austin was actually great with my dog, which doesn’t matter for the heater working, but a big deal to us since she doesn’t like ANYONE. He wasn’t scared of her at all and she really took to him, so he must be good people. He was very communicative at both visits. We had to wait for heat for 3 more nights. The office should have made the effort to contact us and set the expectation on the front end, not when we called wondering what was going on. When Austin came back today, Monday, he explained that he’d already ruled out everything else that could be wrong so he knew what he needed to get. He got it in right away this morning and our heater is working again, for now. He also gave us his direct number, in case anything else happens. I really appreciated that. We are super grateful to have heat once again and hopeful that this experience is over, at least for this season!
