No nonsense technician. Determined issue and solved. As an engineer, this is my kind of technician I was looking for. I knew what the issue was but we are new to town and trying to find an honest HVAC company. Sure enough, diagnosed the right part, quote where I expected to be and solved during that trip. Bottom line, We found our team to use going forward. I don’t give out 5s easily but here’s one.

It is hard to find honest, caring, knowledgeable HVAC companies. My upstairs HVAC unit was only 18 months old when it stopped working. The parts were under warranty but the service had ran out. I paid the original installer to fix it and it quit working a day later. He refused to come back out again. I called another company who told me I would have to replace the entire unit outside and inside, thousands of dollars basically. He also said he would have to diagnose it first for $400 to be sure! I then called A Better Deal thanks to several people recommending them on the next door app. Ray and another guy came out and did all kinds of readings on the inside and outside, even checked my other unit. They were so kind, so knowledgeable and thorough and barely charged me anything. He comes inside and tells me it’s fixed. Basically they were a God send. Beyond grateful! I have dealt with 5-10 different HVAC companies over the years and this company is by far the best. Highly recommend!!

I have been a customer for almost 15 years. Bought new a/c units from them and been nothing but satisfied. Love working with John came out today because a capacitor got shorted out from the recent storm. Up and running in not time. Thank you

This is my 2nd time using these guys, and there's a reason I called on them again. My AC stopped cooling in the middle of the night last night. I called A Better Deal at 4 AM. A real person answered the phone! By 10 AM, my issue was fixed. Less than 7 hours after my AC conked out, I am now relaxing at the park with my daughter, knowing my house is cooling. Would give this company six stars if I could. Saved me from an $1100 bill from Baker Bros for work that didn’t need to be done. Came out the day after I called, and in less than 20 min diagnosed the problem and fixed it for no charge. Will absolutely be calling A Better Deal the next time we need HVAC work done!

I had the dreaded realization my AC unit had failed somehow today, making some awful noises and heating up while not blowing any cool air. After some Google research as well as reading through several threads, I stumbled across A Better Deal, and am very thankful I did. Andrew came out within a couple hours of my call on a late Thursday evening, and had the fan motor replaced within an hour. He was up front about pricing, and was able to explain (in layman's terms) what was going on as well as the different options I had to address the issue. Would highly recommend, and would use again in the future should any issues arise.

Shotter came for service was in and out within an hour. Direct, concise and looking forward to my free leak follow up after filling my 15yr old unit up with refrigerant. Send me good vibes for no leak and just maintenance on my old unit!

Nearly a decade ago, I replaced my furnace and A/C system. I was told that if I continued to use A Better Deal to perform semi-annual inspections, that the warranty would continue indefinitely. This week, my thermostat failed rendering the unit inoperable. They replaced the thermostat at no charge since it was warranted under this original agreement. This saved me more than $900. I couldn't believe that a business like this today still maintained a high level of integrity and honesty. I knew that they always took good care of us, but this latest service call pleasantly surprised me. Thank you A Better Deal. I really appreciate your service.
