A Better Carpet & Floor Service

AJ came out. We mutually agreed not to proceed with the job because it was heavily soiled. After AJ packed up he handed me a bill for a $150 trip charge which was never discussed. I reminded him that I was told that $150 was the minimum for 3 rooms and that if he had planned on charging that, I should have gotten 3 rooms cleaned. He then said that he had already packed up.

Upon contacting A Better Carpet & Floor Service I was given a quote over the phone. The quote was reasonable and under the $1,000 mark. I was told it would be cheaper if the furniture was not in place and it was not considering we were moving. When the repair guy showed up he quoted the project at $1,500, not to mention any patching or tack strip repair(knowing there will be patching when you stretch the carpet). I was so disappointed but we agreed on $1,300. After the service and the 20 linear ft of tack strip installed the price was back up to $1,500. This service took approximately 2 hours to complete with maybe $100 dollars worth of material. I would not use this service ever again unless you want to pay double from the going rate. Installer was friendly and knew his stuff but they price gouged me pretty bad.

A Better Carpet & Floor Service did an excellent job stretching and repairing the carpet in our guest room. We also had the room steam cleaned along with our great room during the visit. Our 24 year old carpet looked brand new when the job was completed. AJ (the owner) was very skilled at his work and gave great advice on flooring and other home repairs. I will definitely call them again and highly recommend their service to anyone looking for high quality service by courteous professionals.

An outstanding service! We had some challenging carpet stretching needs in a finished basement on a cement floor. "A.J." completed the job very thoroughly and professionally. He had the proper equipment and totally knew what he was doing. He explained every step of the process he was using and said the work would be guaranteed not to need stretching again. The finished work looks great and the price was fair, especially since it took him half a day of hard work to do it. I highly recommend this excellent carpet service.
