The food we tried were delicious. The tandoori momo was suggested by the waiter and we really enjoyed it. It was sweet sour and spicy. The noodles were favorful, full on desi style. The lamb dopeyaza with naan just hit the spot for us. We also got mango lassi, which was tasty. To top it all, it was Halal!

I ordered 4 rasmalai. Usually, each serving contains 2 pieces with the milk sauce. So 4 orders should be equivalent to 8 pieces. On delivery: a single box with 4 pieces in total. So I paid to receive half of what is normally sold. It's not just a small mistake, it's a serious control problem. When you pay for 4 desserts, you expect to receive 4 complete desserts. I leave this notice to warn the next customers: check carefully what you receive. Very disappointing.

I ordered through DoorDash and was seriously impressed. Sardar Ji delivers some of the most honest and well-executed tikka masala and butter chicken in Montreal—this place is a must-try. The flavors are deep, balanced, and clearly made with care, and the paan baked in a real tandoor oven is exceptional, a rare find done properly. The curries are rich and very well seasoned. I’ll be picky for a second: I still miss the cashews in the butter chicken—but even so, this is one of the best I’ve had so far. In terms of food quality, it’s on the same level as India Rosa. Frankly, this restaurant puts Le Taj and many others to shame. I ordered delivery this time, but I’m absolutely planning to visit in person soon.

I recently ordered from this restaurant through Uber, and unfortunately my experience wasn’t very pleasant. After placing my order, I called the restaurant and politely asked if they could replace the rice in the thali with a naan. The lady told me it wasn’t possible, which I understand. I then asked if they could charge me extra for the naan on Uber instead, but she wasn’t able to help with that either. The reason I requested this is because I don’t eat rice at night. Whenever I eat rice at night, it usually gives me stomach pain the next morning, so I try to avoid it. That’s why I asked if the rice could be replaced with naan, and I was completely willing to pay extra. This was also my first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I made the request very politely and simply expected a little flexibility or willingness to help, but that didn’t happen. I didn’t expect this type of experience for the first time ordering from this restaurant.

Such a great experience. We went there with the kids and the staff was just lovely and everything they recommended was delicious. The food was on the table within minuts. I loved the setting and the display of beautiful decorations including gorgeous indian textiles. My kids said they "ate like kings" The total bill was 80$ for tandoori chicken legs, soups, badgis, naan, chaad paprit, 2 bowls of sauced chicken, 2 mango lassi, rice... we even brought leftover home. Overall an awesome night, we'll be back!

I came to Montreal from Nova Scotia and decided to visit Sardar Ji Restaurant — and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic Indian flavors that reminded me of home. Every dish was fresh, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive — friendly, quick, and very welcoming. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and even took the time to explain some of their specialties. Whether you’re from Montreal or just visiting like me, I highly recommend Sardar Ji Restaurant for anyone who loves real Indian food and great hospitality. Can’t wait to come back! 🙌🍛

If you’re craving authentic Punjabi flavors, this place is an absolute must-visit! We ordered Handi Chicken, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, and Tandoori Momos — and everything was top-notch! The Handi Chicken was bursting with rich flavors, perfectly cooked and full of that real desi touch. The Garlic Naan was unbelievably soft, easy to eat and digest — honestly one of the best I’ve had, unlike most places where it feels too heavy. The Tandoori Momos were so delicious, smoky, and perfectly spiced. To top it all off, the owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and even treated us to complimentary Gulab Jamun, which was the sweetest ending to a perfect meal. We’re definitely coming back to try more dishes next time. Highly recommend this spot if you want genuine Punjabi taste and great hospitality! 🙌✨

I ordered Fish Pakoda, Baingan Bharta and Aaloo Gobhi from their restaurant. The Pakodas were too salty, they were served on stale lettuce. The Baingan Bharta and Aaloo Gobhi had so much oil. I was able to scoop almost 8-10 t-spoons of oil from each curry. Ordering our favourite indian curries should not be a health hazard. Please take care of the quantity of oil you use in your dishes. Both curries tasted average and I was not able to enjoy anything because of the excessive oil in their production.
