I’ve been coming to Alex’s for so many years, never once have I been disappointed. They did my brakes today all 4 super fast, dropped off in the morning and picked up on my lunch break!!! Always fair price and always on point!! Just wanted to give one of the best mechanics in town a shout out!!! Sorry it took so many years to actually make a review better late than never!! I usually take my Miata to Immortan Automotive in Ypsilanti but is very inconvenient due to them being an hour away and I was having an electrical issue making my 99 Miata not start, so I gave Alex's a try since they are about 30 minutes from me. Let me tell you they did an amazing job and actually found other issues with my car that I thought were fixed. I think I found my new shop that I can trust. Thank you guys for getting my car back on the road. You have gained a new customer.

I’ve heard mixed things about this place, but my experience on Friday (4/11/25) was really disappointing. I brought my Miata in for a scheduled alignment, should’ve taken about an hour, but ended up waiting there five while being repeatedly reassured it would be done soon. At the end of the day, they said they couldn’t align it, suggested the car had been in an accident, and asked me to bring it back next week. Another shop fit me in on Sunday and aligned the car to my desired specs in under 30 minutes — no issues. To top it off, I found there had been a camber bolt left loose. I really hope this was a one-off experience and not the norm. Edit after shops response: Added photo requested by Shop Owner I initially left a 3-star review hoping this was a one-off experience, but after the shop’s response I feel it’s important to clarify. I brought my 1996 Miata in for a scheduled alignment after a full suspension refresh (tie rods, ball joints, bushings, camber bolts). I waited over five hours while repeatedly being told it would be done shortly. At the end of the day, I was told the car couldn’t be aligned, was implied to have been in an accident, and I was asked to bring it back another week. Two days later, another shop aligned the car to my requested specs in under 30 minutes with no issues. During inspection, I also discovered a camber bolt had been left loose, which is a serious safety concern. The shop’s response to my original review did not address these issues and instead questioned the validity of my experience. Based on both the service and follow-up, I can’t recommend this place.

I have a over $120,000 invest in my jeep 30K Mi 392 srt motor. few small issues, the speedometer off & tire size. supposed to have a better tune, he told me Need to be unlocked the ECM now I have a check enlight light On a dash and my issue never fixed I took a twice close 2 months now my key doesn't read. after I bey that guy, I took it to the dealer told me they need to install a new computers cost the thousands of dollars, guys. Be careful who you take in your car to a lot of funny shops scammers.

Brought my vehicle in to have the two timing chains replaced. No issues with the repair at this time and the price seemed very reasonable. Huge shout out to Glen for answering all of my questions and taking the time to double check my vehicle. He was able to make sure the repairs were done just in time so I could have my transportation back for work. Also, thank you to the technicians that were able to get the repairs done in that time frame as well, I really appreciate all of you!

I had originally gone to Rhino Dyno (I advise to stay far from them) which messed me up. Unfortunately I found out about Alex’s Automotive Services after the fact but they took care of me and resolved the issue. They even charged me less than Rhino Dyno. I’ve already recommended others to Alex’s and will continue to do so.

Went in with concern of something hanging down underneath the vehicle. Took me in immediately and fixed the problem. Hats off to Al the Manager and Donovan who worked on the car.Will definitely be back and tell my friends about this place

I brought my drag radials and wheels to Alex and his staff to get them mounted/balanced and test fit on the car prior to datalogging the car on the new setup. They had me ready to go for an amazing price and service very quickly. They are literally a one stop super performance/maintenance shop and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.

They took care of a few mechanical issues and brought my paint back to life with ceramic coating. Car hasn't looked that good in years and runs great. I will be back if I need work in the future. Great people and fair prices.
