Mohammed Afzal Khan – Labour MP
Mohammed Afzal Khan is a Labour MP for Manchester Gorton constituency. He was elected in 2017 and serves as Shadow Minister of State for Immigration. He was born in Pakistan and came to the UK at the age of 11.
Shailesh Lakhman Vara – Conservative MP
Shailesh Lakhman Vara is a Conservative MP for North West Cambridgeshire. He was elected in 2005 and had previously served as the vice-chairman of the Conservative party; Parliamentary Under Secretary of State. Vara was born in Uganda to Gujarati Indian immigrants who moved to the UK in 1964.
Keith Vaz – Labour MP
Keith Vaz was a Labour MP for Leicester East who served from 1987 to 2019. In November 2019, he stated that he would be retiring from Parliament and would not seek re-election. Vaz was born in 1956 in the British crown colony of Aden, what is now the southern capital of Yemen. His family moved to the UK in 1965.
