Toured Oak Canyon Living while looking at RCFE options in the area and came away impressed. The owner is a nurse, and it showed — she walked us through how to actually evaluate care homes, what to ask, and what red flags to watch for, without any pressure. That kind of guidance helps because most of us looking for our loved ones are new to this. The home itself is in a quiet, upscale neighborhood that feels residential rather than institutional. The house is open and relaxing inside, and the backyard is genuinely large — a real outdoor space rather than a token patio. Easy to picture a resident spending time out there. We haven't placed a loved one yet, but this one made the shortlist.
