If you’re looking for one of the most fun, immersive dining experiences in Miami, Thousand Sunny is an absolute must-visit. This anime-inspired restaurant goes far beyond just great food the atmosphere, presentation, and creativity make you feel like you stepped into another world.
We started with the fried milk buns, which were soft, warm, slightly sweet, and perfectly golden on the outside a comforting way to kick things off. The potato shrimp was crispy and flavorful, with a satisfying texture that made it hard to stop eating. The hachis takoyaki was another standout, perfectly tender inside with that classic savory umami flavor and delicious toppings.
For dumplings, the wagyu beef gyoza was incredibly juicy and rich, with a crispy sear that elevated the whole dish. On the drinks side, the themed beverages were just as impressive as the food we tried the Mera Mera no Mi and Ope Ope no Mi, both beautifully presented, creative, and super refreshing (perfect for Miami’s heat).
The Pirate Hot Pot Tonkotsu was comforting and deeply flavorful, with a rich broth that tasted slow-simmered and authentic. For mains, the Sanji’s Signature Korean Beef Short Ribs with Sunny Eggs were absolutely phenomenal tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, especially paired with the runny eggs.
To finish, we couldn’t skip dessert, and the Whole Cake Island was the perfect ending indulgent, fun, and beautifully plated.
Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, and the themed décor makes this place ideal for photos, date nights, group outings, or anyone who loves anime culture. Every dish feels thoughtfully designed, both visually and in flavor.
Highly recommend Thousand Sunny if you want a unique dining experience in Miami that combines great food, creative drinks, and unforgettable ambiance. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to and bring friends.
