Totally unprofessional, use extreme caution if considering this company.
I had an extremely frustrating and honestly unacceptable experience with Horizon Roofing Pros and the owner, Max.
After a severe storm, my roof was leaking badly water was actively pouring through my ceiling and even coming out of my ceiling fan. This was clearly an urgent situation. I called them the night before, and Max assured me someone would be out at 7:30 AM. Someone arrived at 8:00 and said they would return around 11:30 AM to tarp the roof.
That’s where the professionalism ended.
By 2:30 PM, no one had shown up, and I had to call them myself. I was told I was “next on the list” and that they were finishing a job and would be coming, even if it was raining. I trusted that and continued waiting while water kept pouring into my home.
By 6:30 PM, after still no show, I called again only to be told they weren’t coming at all because their crew didn’t want to get on the roof in the rain. No courtesy call. No update. Nothing.
This is completely unacceptable. If they had been honest earlier in the day, I could have called another company to tarp the roof and prevent further damage. Instead, I was misled for hours while the condition of my home worsened. My ceiling is now at risk of serious damage or even collapse because of their lack of follow-through.
This felt less like a professional business and more like being strung along. Overpromising and then disappearing without communication is not just unprofessional it’s irresponsible, especially in an emergency situation like this.
I would strongly caution anyone against relying on Horizon Roofing Pros in urgent situations. Communication, honesty, and reliability matter and in my experience, they failed on all three.
The original photo is where it was when he first came out and said he would be back at 11:30. Rain didnt start again til 2:30 so because he left us waiting reassuring us he was coming.. .this is the damage we are now left with in 2nd photo.
I also want to note that Joey said he would need a special truck for the 40ft tarp we would need & a crew ..
Currently there is one man who came in a pickup truck within 2 hours putting a tarp on my roof.
