I’ve been staying here for over two years and have just started my third year with them, and I still love it just as much. The location is incredibly convenient, with bus stops for both city buses and GO buses right nearby (a huge plus for me as an international student needing easy access to the airport). Grocery stores and fast food places are just across the street, which makes daily life so much easier. The house is always clean, thanks not only to the weekly cleaning service but also to the other tenants, we all work together to keep it tidy and well-kept. The staff are wonderfully friendly, always greeting us with bright smiles and genuine warmth, making this place truly feel like home.

I've had a great experience living here! The property manager is fantastic—super helpful and responsive. The cleaning crew does an amazing job keeping everything tidy, and the maintenance team is always quick to fix any issues. Highly recommend this place!

I have been staying with them for just over a year now, and my experience so far have been amazing. They provide professional cleaning services every week, which in a student house is one of the most necessary services. The location is always a plus point for them as the grocery stores and bus stops are within minutes of walk. The management is extremely responsive and is always available to help the students.

I had an awesome experience at Dundurn Student Residences! The building is super clean and well-kept, and the staff are always friendly and ready to help. The rooms are spacious and perfect for a student. The kitchen is huge, so cooking meals was a breeze. Plus, the location is fantastic—just a short walk to McMaster, and everything you need is nearby. Highly recommend!

Landlord turnaround was crazy, there were about 3 different ones over the course of a few months. The last landlord that was there said that they quit because the owner was THAT terrible of a person. it’s very poorly managed, and you can tell just by reading the owner’s replies to the bad reviews left on here…extremely unprofessional! The place is extremely dirty, and is in need of an extremely deep clean. I didn’t even want to touch anything while I was visiting my boyfriend, who was living there. The cleaning staff do clean some things, but the place is so far gone that even they can’t clean it all. They advertise that they have cleaners, but really all they seem to do is take out the trash and mop the floors. I’m telling you, this place needs the WALLS SCRUBBED, that’s how disgusting it is. when you go for a tour, it may not look very gross. my boyfriend toured and said it looked actually very clean. this seemed to be purposeful to make people sign leases easier. when he moved in, the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for years. The walls are super thin, you can hear literally everything all the time. It’s in a really bad part of town, too. The super loud street gets annoying and the tiny sidewalk you take to get to the buildings is terrible. Whenever it would rain, I would get splashed by cars speeding on the road all the time. All of this is to say: do not live at this place. You will regret it! It’s overpriced, poorly managed, and absolutely filthy. EDIT: I never worked there, I genuinely have no clue what they’re on about there, lol! I knew one of the tenants and visited frequently. Yes, the company hasn’t changed (if we want to get into specifics here 🙄), but the actual people managing the properties have, 3 times over 8 months, to be exact.

The location is close to Main and King street, making bus access easy for bachelor students who may not own a car. about a 12-15 minute bus ride plus initial waiting time for the bus to arrive. The location is close to McMaster compared to many other housing options and the room prices are cheaper and larger than the Bates apartment style dorm rooms found on campus. The building comes with AC for the hot summer months and are well ventilated.

I am coming close to living here for a year now. The location is a convenient place with many establishments. Rooms are fairly priced and well-spaced. The walls are very thick and you can rarely hear sounds outside unless people are moving stuff above you. I would say it is best to get your own furniture instead of a furnished room as from my experience, it took me a month to get the furniture. The community is pretty positive and enforces a rule to keep the sinks clean in the kitchen as well as in common places. My experience with maintenance and dealing with the staff was specifically negative with the property manager however, without me reaching out he was let go(probably due to other complaints). The rest of the staff were professional and nice. The only real ick is the washroom being shared on the middle floor is often dirty due to one person I am sharing it with. There are cracks in the sink and weird scents being covered with candles. This will depend on the roommate and house you live in, as the house I was living in before had a better-maintained washroom. Overall, it is a good place to live for students who want privacy and are looking for a convenient location in Hamilton.

I have been living here for about 2 years and sadly it is my time to go due to leaving the city. My favourite part of the city had to be the comfort of this place I called home. I will be missing the sound proof walls as well as the professionalism of the staff. The washroom and all shared areas were kept clean that's a huge plus. Convenient locations to shopping and school if you do not drive. Overall great place if you are a student or a single individual looking for some privacy and independence. I only hope I can have anything close to the experience at my new location in a new city. The bar has been set HIGH!

After the initial visit, things looked great. However, once my son was moving in, it was a different story. His room had a poor paint job, missing lights in the ceiling light, carpet tiles not stuck down, closet doors broken and missing. The kitchen was disgusting, and the bathroom was just as bad but also had mold on the ceiling. The house was supposed to be cleaned once a week, but there was no sign of a good clean for a long time. After moving in, he and the others had to leave for fumigation for cockroaches, not once but twice. The house was hot in the summer and cold right now.

Mark is an exceptional landlord. He cares about his tenants as he most definitely puts himself behind others to ensure a good living space. His team is very friendly and cooperative and the rent is fairly cheap. It’s a good spot for singles or a couple.
