Hoyer's Equipment Rental

I can’t say enough great things about Hoyer’s. Not only did they have the lowest price, I also had to push my rental date back. And then the night prior to my rental I needed to change the time of pickup. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. They changed both without any problems. Great price, great customer service, and great machines. I’ll definitely be renting from them again!

I rented equipment from this business for about a month and paid up front. During the rental period, I was told that all service calls were my responsibility, which I accepted and handled on my own. The equipment worked fine overall, but communication with Alex — the rental contact — was very poor. He rarely returned calls unless it involved collecting payment. When the rental term ended, I offered to pay for an extra day so I could wash the skid and replace a hose I had already purchased. I also planned to return the machine with a full tank of fuel. Instead, Alex showed up early, took the machine before I could complete those tasks, and then charged me for cleaning and an extra day of rental anyway. After that, he made multiple aggressive and unprofessional phone calls to me and my assistant, including threats that crossed the line of acceptable business behavior. Even worse, he attempted to run additional unauthorized charges on my cards after the transaction was closed. This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve had. I was respectful, paid what I owed, and tried to do the right thing. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and unacceptable. I’m sharing this so others are aware of how this business operates and how easily a simple rental can turn into a stressful experience when basic communication and ethics are missing.
