Why do My Brakes Smell Like Burning Rubber?
When you use your Brakes for the first time, the Heat produced during that reaction causes Polymerization. This also known as Curing and when this happens your Brake Pads will release various Gases. Those Gases can smell like Burning Rubber. The smell should wear off after a few hours on New Brake Pads.
