Be Free Craft Ice Cream Cafe

I truly want to love this place… it is close to my home, has a nice atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly; however, I have now been here 3 times and with the exception of the pastries, all items I have ordered have been disappointing. Today’s order was 2 house specialty lattes (pistachio butter & maple sea salt) a chocolate croissant and a cheese danish .There were large chunks of pistachios in mine and when we poured the coffees into mugs at home, both had coffee grounds in them as well. My SO picked up the order and as I write this is ensuring that I adequately state how kind the people were there and that the service received was wonderful. Unfortunately, I could not drink either of the coffees and nor did she. We are avid coffee drinkers and frequent many local coffee shops in the area. I see many people sharing that their lattes were delicious, so perhaps there is an issue of inconsistency (among staff or particular recipes), but having a handful of large nuts and grounds in my coffee was not enjoyable. I hope things improve here. The pastries were good.

I stop at Be Free Café almost every morning, and it never disappoints! Their caramel latte is the best I’ve had — perfectly balanced — and the ham and cheddar croissant is always fresh and delicious. A special shoutout to Emily, who makes an amazing single shot espresso — strong, smooth, and just the way my Italian heart loves it. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently great coffee.
