Sister Lavender Spa

My husband and I came to Sister Lavender Spa for his birthday, and I really wanted to make it a special experience. From the very beginning, the owner personally emailed me to confirm our appointment and go over our services, which immediately made everything feel thoughtful and intentional. When I mentioned it was it was my husbands birthday, she was so kind and accommodating. I told her he prefers extremely deep pressure for massages, and she paired him with a therapist who specializes in deep tissue and has over 20 years of experience — which was such a reassuring touch. When we arrived, the spa was spotless and very welcoming. They gave us slippers right away, which made it feel cozy and relaxing from the start. I also got to have my scalp examined under a microscope, which was such a cool and unique experience. I was honestly so happy to hear that my scalp is super healthy (not a flex, but I’ll take it 😌). It was also helpful to learn that a little natural oil is completely normal — it felt validating. My husband absolutely loved his deep tissue massage. He’s pretty particular about pressure, and it’s usually hard for him to find someone who goes deep enough, but his therapist really delivered. She focused on his tight IT band, which has been bothering him, and he was so grateful afterward. I had a massage paired with a head spa treatment, and it was pure pampering. The massage was amazing, and I also got hot stones and a facial. The head spa portion was my favorite — especially the steamer over my hair while the mask set. It felt luxurious and incredibly relaxing. After our services, we finished with a couples pedicure. It was such a relaxing way to wrap up the day. My toes turned out perfect, and my hubby was especially happy because his main goal with pedicures is getting the dead skin smoothed down — and they did such a great job. His feet were unbelievably smooth afterward. Overall, we loved our experience. I actually discovered this spa while driving to a friend’s house and decided to give it a try, hoping it would be a great birthday surprise for bae — and I’m so glad I did. The service, the care, and the attention to detail made the whole day feel special. We’ll definitely be back.

The was the best manicure and pedicure I have had in Chicago! My nail beds were prioritized and not filed down like other salons. The nail color selection was amazing. The ingredients smelled so nice and they used real aloe vera and lemons. I also got a 90min deep massage that made me re-evaluate why I dont do this more often. I highly recommend the guy (I didnt catch his name /:) because he found all my sore spots and made them go away. He was responsive to my muscles and was the rough-ness I wanted. I will be coming back!
