I initially hired Fleurish Cleaning to handle short-term rental turnover cleaning and inspections for my cabin. My only mistake was assuming that, based on their 5-star Google rating, they would be one of the best cleaning services in the area.
At first I had high hopes the partnership would work, since STR properties require dependable cleaners who understand guest expectations and tight check-in timelines. Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be the opposite.
The service became very inconsistent. It seemed like a different cleaner was sent almost every time, and on several occasions the people cleaning appeared to be very young, sometimes teenagers or kids helping, which raised concerns about training, supervision, and overall professionalism.
The biggest issue was inspection quality and lack of proper reporting. I was repeatedly told the property had been cleaned and inspected, yet very few issues were ever reported. However, when I conducted my own independent inspections before guest arrivals, I discovered numerous problems that should have been obvious and reported.
Examples included:
• Food remnants and empty bottles under couches and bunk beds
• Areas that clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned
• Hot tub odor and residue that had not been addressed
• Multiple missed cleaning items that should have been caught during inspection
I notified Fleurish Cleaning about these issues and was told they were in the process of changing cleaners and improving their process, which I appreciated and hoped would resolve the situation. Unfortunately, even after bringing these concerns to their attention, the inspections continued to miss obvious issues.
Before new guests arrived, I again found multiple problems that had not been caught, which left me having to personally redo the cleaning right before guest check-in. Because these issues continued even after notifying them, I ultimately had no choice but to terminate their services.
Communication was also very unprofessional and difficult. There were too many layers of people involved, making it extremely hard to get a direct call back or resolve urgent issues quickly — which is critical when managing short-term rental turnovers.
Because some of these issues reached guests, it ultimately caused my Airbnb rating to drop from 4.9 stars to 4.6 stars, which is very damaging for a host where reputation and guest experience are everything.
For short-term rental owners, reliable cleaning and proper inspections are essential. Based on my experience with inconsistent cleaners, poor inspections, lack of reporting, and difficult communication, I unfortunately cannot recommend Fleurish Cleaning for STR turnover service.
