Today Guy very rude at the phone for any question you have. If you don’t like to answer any question, do not take the calls, no one is going to drive 40 min to the office just for a couple of questions. Business are also dealing with costumer service, something that this guy the same that wrote the answer to my comment do not have. It does not matter if it is the owner or not, you should know how to talk with respect and kindness to people in a business.

When they say they’ll have grass ready for you - they mean it. I called on a Thursday afternoon and he got 2 pallets of special order pallets added to his load for Friday morning. I came Friday morning and it was sitting there waiting on me. Nice thick cut, super fresh sod. Even the top layer of the pallet was nice and fresh and not dried out. Will definitely be going back next time I need sod.

10/10 experience. Great attitude, very nice, quick action, I wasn't waiting around to be helped, competitive market price. I purchased a pallet from them, had to go back the next week because I was short about 3 rolls. The owner threw it in the back of the truck and told me not to worry about it; he was helping another customer load their product. Support Local Business!

Service was great, grass was not. I ordered Zeon Zoysia, which is supposed to have a max cutting height of 2". The sod came 5-6", which means I had to scalp the sod on the first cut, leaving it brown and thin. Additionally, the grass came with weeds growing in it; looks like nut sedge. 10 or so pieces were dead, so I had to replace them with sod from another supplier a week after install. Disappointing to spend money and effort, to end up with a low quality product. I think they really need to change where they buy their grass. Cost seemed to be inline with other places I checked.

Great quality product prices are fair. The main benefit is the freshness of the grass compared to the box stores who let it set for days or weeks. This place gets the grass fresh each morning. Show up early as they often sell out by noon. 👍

They have good prices and a great product. Plus, they’re super nice guys. I’ll be back if I need more grass. Well, I need to update this post. Called back today, wanting to buy another pallet of grass. It’s been 7 days since I bought a pallet. Spoke to 2 different ladies today and apparently the price is $100 more for a pallet than it was a week ago. Gotta look at other options now.

I had an amazing experience with Justin at J&L Grass in Grand Prairie. I was confused on what to get and he was patient and explained all the differences and gave me recommendations for my yard and the pros and cons. I had called the evening before after closing and left a message and to my surprise Justin called me back and spent a lot of time answering my concerns. Then to my surprise they delivered the pallets the same day and the gentleman that delivered it was also kind and helpful. (sorry did not get his name) The grass was beautiful and neighbors came by asking where I purchased it. Also I called back to find out any specific care needs and again Justin returned my call within a few minutes and was patient and kind with all my care questions. If you need Grass this is the place to go. The prices are WAY less than Home Depot or Lowes, and the quality much better. Buy your Grass from J&L in Grand Prairie you will be HAPPY for the amazing service. I went on the advice of my yard man and am so happy I did. Justin you are Amazing thank you for your help.

They will steal your money. I ordered 16 pallets Bermuda grass to be delivered one day. They called me the day before and they said that the grass they were supposed to deliver was not good quality and that they would deliver the following Monday. I agreed to that. The morning of the delivery date, they called me and said that they would only be delivering 13 pallets, but the amount of grass still covered the 16 pallets that I had ordered. I told him that’s not what I had agreed to and that they would need to refund me for three pallets. The guy said that I could measure each role to confirm that the coverage would be the same. I told him I did not agree to measuring each one of the roles in 13 pallets. He hung up on me and the last thing he said was not to use them again. Do not use these people.

I could not recommend this business more! I showed up there around 6:45 this morning and saw they had plenty of pallets of grass waiting there. I was greeted by a few of the gentleman who worked there and ordered 30 pieces of Bermuda grass which was priced very fair. By the time I paid and walked out, two gentleman were already loading it up in my truck. The grass looked amazing as if it was just cut. Very professional and after dealing with a few other companies I will not go anywhere else except J and L Grass ever again. Thank you J and L Grass for doing it right.

Attention all... J&L Grass company is NOT doing any new installations!!!! That is the response I got when I inquired about having a grass expert help me to understand why no grass is growing in my yard. The sales person asked if I needed spot or complete yard. I said I didn't know because I first wanted to figure out what the problem was. At that point, he said "we're not doing any new installations" , effectively cutting off the conversation. At least he didn't hang up on me.... right away. Guess they are doing so well, they don't need any more jobs. How nice for them.
