There’s a difference between being elite and knowing how to build elite. Jill does both. Jill Bartholomew is a top Ironman contender in the world, and if you follow her training, you’ll quickly realize it’s nearly impossible to outwork her. But what separates her isn’t just how hard she trains, it’s how dialed in she is as a coach. I’ve had coaches who were passionate about the sport but lacked depth when it came to the details that actually move the needle — nutrition strategy, managing training volume, adjusting for race-specific factors like heat or elevation, open water conditions, gear choices, strength work, schedule flexibility. That’s where Jill stands out. She sees the full picture and knows how to adjust in real time. For context, I’m 6’4” with a heavy strength-training background, and I don’t exactly fit the traditional endurance mold. That’s never once mattered. Jill understands physiology, load management, and performance at a level where gender, size, or background are irrelevant. You don’t need a coach who looks like you — you need one who understands how to get the most out of you. She doesn’t just send workouts. She builds a strategy around you, your life, and your goals. If you’re serious about improving, she’s the real deal. Just don’t wait too long — word is getting out, and for good reason.

I cannot recommend Jill Bartholomew of Be Fierce Multisport enough. Jill is an elite athlete through and through… and I am definitely not. In fact, I spent years believing I couldn’t be a runner at all. I had tried (and failed) to complete the Dopey Challenge in the past due to a leg condition, under‑training, and honestly, a lack of direction. After surgery and another attempt that didn’t go as planned, I had almost given up on the idea entirely. Then I decided to run for charity — and to finally do the damn thing the right way, with a coach. I knew Jill from a Facebook group and reached out to talk about my goals. That one conversation changed everything. In just under 10 months of working with her, I ran my first standalone marathon… and then I completed the Dopey Challenge. It wasn’t pretty, and I didn’t magically become elite, but I put in the work, learned how to fuel my body, stayed healthy, and crossed every finish line I set out to cross. That was my goal — and Jill got me there. Jill is the perfect coach for anyone — from total beginners to elites. She meets you exactly where you are, keeps you safe, keeps you accountable, and somehow makes you believe you can do things you never thought possible. She supported me through every setback, every doubt, every long run, and every victory. I don’t know what my next challenge will be, but I do know this: I gained more than a coach. I gained a friend for life… if she’ll keep me around, hahah! If you’re thinking about working with Jill — do it. She will change your life.
