We were so lucky to have our favorite restaurant near home. Delicious food, talented and creative chef that creates thoughtful, dynamic, seasonal, and local-nature-inspired meals. We will dearly miss the opportunity to enjoy eating here regularly and will follow the chef to his next restaurant. Thanks for all the yummy food and good memories. Index will miss you!

Food was phenomenal!! The ravioli was some of the best pasta we’ve ever had, we added the salmon which was done perfectly. We had also ordered the seared sockeye but it was quite overcooked compared to the one on the ravioli, so they brought me out the cod dish instead which was to die for! They even, very generously, sent out another piece of the sockeye on the plate with the cod, which was also cooked perfectly. The service was great, as was the setting! We’ll definitely be back when we go hiking in the area next.

We had an absolutely magnificent dinner at North Fork Kitchen. If you find yourself in Index, WA. It was an incredible experience, and we hope to visit again at some point. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Several of them provided food recommendations and spoke with us throughout our dinner. Our server was Grant who also serves as the bartender, and he was so friendly and welcoming to us throughout our entire dinner! We chose to dress up to celebrate our 1st anniversary, but we enjoyed how welcoming it is for everyone - whether you’ve been hiking or exploring during the day or enjoying a fancy dinner out. The appetizers were absolutely incredible. We enjoyed the salmon cakes and the mushroom goat cheese flatbread. For entrees, we shared the ravioli and the steak. The sauces were incredible on each, and we really enjoyed all our food! Finally, we ended the evening with an incredible cheesecake topped with fruit. We highly recommend stopping by and enjoying everything - from the food to the staff to the view!

Stunning views, serene atmosphere, and stellar service! A beautiful inn tucked away in scenic Index with epic mountains looming just over the river. We stopped in for brunch on the porch with our dog. Not only was the food (and our lavender & blood orange mimosas) delicious, but everyone was extremely friendly. They made some great recommendations and brought out bacon for our dog & a surprise strawberry cheesecake because my partner mentioned we were vacationing for her birthday. A little slice of heaven hidden in the lower Cascades. Absolutely recommend.

My husband and I were so excited to visit North Fork kitchen for our wedding anniversary after it had been lovingly restored. The ambience was warm and friendly, the service was kind and attentive, and the menu thoughtful and balanced. We ordered some local cider and beer, a carrot and fennel salad, a chicken dish with rum sauce and rice, and a cod dish with roasted vegetables. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and we also appreciated the nice touches like fresh flowers. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Index or passing through on Highway 2.

Index is a lovely little town on the way to Stevens Pass, and appears to attract both rock climbers and river rafters. North Fork Kitchen turned out to be a terrific post-rafting destination for our group. Located in the Bush House Inn, a beautifully restored historic hotel, North Fork provides a small-ish menu of well curated selections for hotel guests and visitors to the town. We were lucky enough to visit on a beautiful day, when dining on the porch outside the hotel was an option. There was a wedding related function going on inside, and the staff was able to provide us with attentive service, even though they had lots of things going on inside. Our group sampled an assortment of offerings - salad, flat bread, a burger, and chimmichurri skirt steak. Everyone was happy, enjoying the food, the view, and the drink options. Anything involving potatoes, whether fried or roasted, was particularly good.

Prepare for a culinary adventure! He insists that the pancakes are potentially the best he's ever tasted—light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor! My quiche, paired with a fresh, vibrant salad, was a delightful masterpiece—absolutely delicious! And don’t even get me started on the loaded Bloody Mary—it was a sensational symphony of flavors that left me wanting more! This spot not only delights the palate but also offers a stunning vista that elevates the entire dining experience. A must-visit for food lovers!

We left the city for this restaurant and for a drive around the Cascades. The food was amazing and the chef was very welcoming. Our 3 year old loves trains and he was able to spot one from inside the restaurant when it passed by. Definitely worth a revisit soon again.

My family and I ate here on a whim, with no idea what to expect. We were greeted with a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, that felt like being in the home of a loved one. Our waiter, Fabian, was so kind and accommodating! The food was absolutely incredible! The salmon was quite possibly the best salmon we've ever eaten. Our kids said it deserved 10 stars! Fabian made the entire experience that much more delightful. We cannot wait to be able to come back and enjoy another meal here!

This is our second time here and it won’t be our last! The food always taste fresh, the menus has some fun items, the portions are great, their house fries are to die for! I wouldn’t bother taking a star off for this but I feel it needs to be said, as a warning to dessert lovers, don’t order the cheesecake!! The food here is SO good and the cheese cake was not just ordinary it was BAD. I took one bite and spit it out. Something was really off with the texture. We couldn’t eat it! It was also $10 for one of those mini cheese cakes you can get at Safeway, except Safeway has a decent cheesecake for half the price. We figured for $10 it would be atleast a large slice. Their pastries are delicious! Again the food is great! That cold old mushy cheesecake was out of place in this restaurant.
