Oak Building and Construction

Given our proximity to the sea, our house is a land-based, immobile yacht. So, whilst we are very fortunate to have a magnificent coastal position, we have needed the skilled and experienced builder Chris Spillane and his Oak Building & Construction team to identify and rectify our 20-year-old home’s numerous maintenance, and improvement challenges. Many small and big projects have been successfully executed, from a complete kitchen rebuild, to a new garage door, a roof refit and the repainting of the exterior and interior. Thanks to Chris our home is now more than ready for the decades ahead.

Choosing a builder is a hard task. I thank the reviews here for leading me to Chris and the team at Oak. We trusted Chris and Team Oak with our bathroom renovation which we needed to have completed within a very tight time frame just before Christmas. The guys did an excellent job and came in under budget and ahead of time!!! I have worked with a lot of builders and this almost never happens. Chris was an excellent communicator and I felt in very good hands all the way through. We will be using Oak again and again and I will be recommending them to friends and family, as well as to you, fellow internet review reader!

Chris and his team at Oak are true professionals and wonderful to work with. Chris is passionate, committed and has an excellent eye for detail. Our project was managed seamlessly, without stress or delay, and nothing was too much trouble. They delivered a beautifully renovated home! Not the standard building project for me but Team Oak still knocked it out of the ball park. We bought Chris in to build a high end restaurant where fine finishes and details are critical to the overall feel and experience, not only did they excel but even helped elevate the space when the building or equipment through in some surprises. The team were also considerate of our space and did not damage or mess up anything while they were working - a rare experience for me. We certainly appreciated the fast and quality work that went into the restaurant.

If you’re weighing up whether to hire Chris and his team vs another construction company, seriously look no further. Amidst a busy schedule Chris very kindly agreed to re-build part of our house that had been burnt in a house fire (unfortunately caused by a 3rd party, whilst my wife was in her third trimester). Not only was the rebuild expertly planned and executed in a very short period of time, but Chris invested so much time sharing his insights about being a Dad, and showed so much compassion for our situation. His team are just as friendly as he is, and I believe most of them, if not all, have won awards in their own right, for being at the top of their game as tradesmen. I’m so glad we got to cross paths with Chris and his team at Oak, and highly recommend you choose them for your next building project.

Chris and his team came highly recommended by a fellow builder, and we couldn't be happier that he took our project on. We were in need of a surprise rebuild, and at a very stressful time. We were expecting our first baby and I was already into my third trimester when we had an unfortunate house fire, rendering our laundry room useless (and at a time we were expecting loads of laundry with a newborn on the way). Chris was incredibly understanding of our shortened timeline, and his entire crew was stellar to work with. Great communication and easy to reach, punctual, organized, stuck to the timeline, and incredibly respectful (given I was going into labor any day and then we had a newborn on our hands!). In short, everything you could want from a builder and more. We can't recommend Oak Building and Construction enough – amazing work AND great humans all around. A massive thanks to the entire crew!

Chris and the team at Oak were fantastic to work with. They provided input into our new build from design conception all the way through to completion.
