DRAGO'S AUTOPRO

After a series of unimaginable nightmares (that could have ended much worse), I found myself being told that despite 3/4 brand new Continental winter tires blowing a side wall, there was nothing they could do for me. Before diving into a pit of despair, I reached out to a few friends for help/suggestions. One friend quickly recommended Dragos Auto in Kamloops. I gave Rob a call, and felt the stress melt away as this man provided me reasonable solutions and contingency plans just incase. “Not on my watch” was his attitude. He understood the gravity of my situation and worked swiftly to put all the pieces in place. Within 24 hours, I had 4 brand new tires on my car and a re-established sense of faith. He didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for the short notice repairs, he didn’t try to upsell me on a bunch of unnecessary things, and he treated me like a neighbor in need. The world needs more businesses like that. I would definitely recommend Dragos Auto to any of my friends or family. Not to mention the girls at the desk are both knowledgeable and hilarious. 10/10 experience all around!

He took the time to walk me through everything, answered all my questions without rushing, and made sure I understood what was actually going on with my car. What impressed me most was the honesty. Rob G inspected my vehicle and immediately pointed out that many of the “urgent repairs” another shop claimed I needed were completely unnecessary. He showed me exactly what did and didn’t need attention, and he did it with integrity and professionalism. No upselling, no scare tactics — just real, trustworthy service. Their work was efficient, their pricing was fair, and they treated me with respect every step of the way. I am beyond impressed with the honesty and integrity of this shop! I brought my vehicle in because my brakes were squeaking, and called me back to explain that it was just dirt caught in the brakes. He let me know I still had 60% life left—no upselling, no unnecessary charges, just straightforward honesty that saved me a big chunk of money. They also did an oil change, and the whole experience was smooth, professional, and trustworthy. It’s rare to find a place that values honesty over profit, and that’s exactly what sets these guys apart. I had the strangest dream that a wheel bearing was about to seize on my truck. I didn't know what that was....but decided to take in the truck just to be sure. Turned out the left bearing was not safe and Dragos got me in to the shop immediately and got me back in the road in record time. The parts and labor were really reasonable and im so grateful that I dont have to worry about the truck being safe now. Thanks Dragos! Youre a lifesaver!

My car is my baby and most shops are not equipped to work on it because of the make and model so I’ve only ever taken it to the dealership. Recently, the dealership was unable to diagnose the problem and so was another big-name repair shop in town. I took it to Drago’s and… WOW! These guys are amazing! In 40 years of owning a car I have never received such outstanding service and quality of work that Drago’s provided. They are not just good, they are honest and they truly care about their customers! It’s an understatement to say that I highly recommend them.

I recently had my daughter take her car to Drago’s for some work, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The team did an excellent job, made her feel completely comfortable, and provided great service at very fair prices. Highly recommend!

Rob and his team are a top-notch group of people. From the wonderful ladies at the front desk, to the mechanics working on the vehicles, to Rob himself... The care and service they give is second to none. They took care of us and went way over and above what any other auto repair shop has ever done for me. We took my wife's car there and they provided a detailed quote, which they stuck to. They made the appointments around our schedule and treated us with nothing but respect and honesty. If you’re tired of being treated like a dollar sign, go to Drago's Autopro. You’ll be treated with dignity, fairness, and might even learn something that makes you a better driver and car owner. Businesses that lead with humanity deserve recognition—I can’t recommend Drago’s enough. After three blowouts on tires less than a year old (not purchased there), hours stranded on rural highways waiting for a tow, and being stuck overnight twice, we were exhausted and frustrated. Most shops pushed quick fixes or expensive replacements and insisted we must have hit something—three separate times, with no rim damage. Then we spoke with Rob. He was the first to thoroughly review every detail, ask thoughtful questions, and consider time, cost, and safety before recommending a solution. He didn’t dismiss our concerns or rush a sale. He treated us like people, not profit—and got us safely back on the road.

I used to use this shop a lot because I trusted them and I loved the feel of a family run business. It was always super busy but I knew my vehicle was in the right hands but slowly overtime things changed. I am not sure if it was after the new shop fire or after the split with the old spring shop location but things changed. The outside and inside looks fancier but it missed what built them. The family feeling started to feel like just another commercial business; a lot like the dealerships or chain shops. Slowly my trust faded and I found myself shopping around for my automotive repairs. More and more I saw customers not happy with the service or quality of the repairs they received which was so sad. The way issues were dealt with was not like a family run business but a lot like a dealership, never their fault. One thing to remember; its not about that one invoice but the future invoices that customer creates. That customer doesn't shop around but gives their entire automotive business to them. Sometimes small invoices and sometimes large invoices regardless they get the business. The once smiling energetic staff, their faces turned into just another job stare. Not smiling just focused or angry look. Just another day.. just another job. Not invested in the business or customer. Lets face it, the business isn't in a very desirable area of Kamloops and its defiantly not super convenient location to get to but people don't care because of the staff. I always new that I was not just another work order to them but a person. I am not sure if greed, shop bills, personal changes or just life ruined a good shop but currently something needs to change as I miss the old shop. I hope the owner reads this review and doesn't take offence to it but really takes it to heart. The old Dragos needs to come back. I am not writing this to hurt their business but to wake them up. Sorry but I wont be back until things change. Dealership here I come.

Not only did I feel completely confident and comfortable having them work on my Jaguar, but they’re also amazing community supporters — sponsoring numerous local charity events I’ve attended.
