Old Gold Tomato Pie
About
Old Gold Tomato Pies is Los Feliz’s Sicilian-style slice shop, your spot for a hot slice, a big pie, or catering when you need to feed a small army. We cook with the same top-shelf ingredients the “serious” LA restaurants brag about; we just don’t take ourselves that seriously. We love this city, we love good food, and we’re here to make people happy with bread, tomatoes, and cheese.

I was in the area and found this great place for Sicilian pizza and pasta. They also have vegan options. Their menu is small but what they do make, they do very well! I had the baked pasta with vodka sauce and cheese. I also had a slice of The Godson pizza which had pepperoni, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. They were both fantastic! I haven't had a slice of pizza with such a crispy crust since I was in Italy. I came in an hour before closing, and I was impressed that everything was piping hot and tasted fresh. They also have hot chili oil available to use on your food, and it was just the right amount of heat. I wish I could have tried everything, but that just means I have to come back! Living in San Diego I found the prices very reasonable, especially since the quality is so good. In San Diego food this tasty would be more expensive.

Wow this pizza is great. Delicious and with familiar flavors yet novel in its construction and almost gourmet. These folks nailed it. I tried Fun Guy & Red Flag for a football watching party and everyone raved about it. The slices are a great size—2 pieces is plenty for an average eater. Can’t wait to try more!
