The Chalk Freehouse is a very special pub. We were not expecting to stumble across such an upscale eatery. We were just finishing a wonderful week in Chelsea and came across this spectacular pub. The food is incredible. Malted Porridge Bloomer Sourdough with Estate Dairy Salted Butter-“The Hand & Flowers”Chicken & Duck Liver Parfait with Poultry Jelly, Apricot Chutney and Toasted Brioche- White Onion Soup - Mixed Green Salad - 30 Day Dry Aged Babette of Beef - “Chelsea Bun” with Cold Vanilla Custard - Soft Brown Sugar Meringue with English Strawberry & Champagne Cocktails. Everything seasoned & cooked to perfection. Amazing staff with a fabulous vibe. Just a perfect way to finish a special vacation. Thank you everyone at The Chalk! We definitely recommend this pub for a special lunch or dinner.

Just arrived home from a lovely dinner at the Chalk Freehouse. The drinks and food were excellent and diverse. An elevated pub experience. The onion soup was creamy, slightly sweet and served with a Parmesan twist. The sourdough was hearty and warm. I tried a house whiskey drink that was unique, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our waiter was helpful, efficient, and available without being intrusive.
