Snorrastaðir - Open all year round
Nestled at the gateway to Snæfellsnes, Snorrastaðir campsite and accommodation offers a peaceful stay surrounded by lava fields, open skies, and stunning views of Snæfellsjökull glacier on the way to the site. The trail to the striking Eldborg crater begins at the campsite, making it ideal for hikers and nature lovers.
The campsite reservations are made online, info at the site.
The campsite facilities include toilets, showers, and a shared common area with Wi-Fi, seating, hot tub in the summer. From 1. September - 1.June the large common space is closed, guests have access to a smaller kitchen area.
We also offer cabins for rent and rooms at our guesthouse.

Facilities are well maintained, spacious kitchen and dining area, you can also cook inside, there are microwave, kettle and stove, super cozy sharing area. Free shower(water is not too hot but still fine), toilet is clean. The campsite is away from light pollution and great spot for star observation and aurora hunting. Host is super nice.

Great campground! We stayed two nights in a camper van, before and after driving around Snæfellsness in January. The facilities were fantastic - multiple bathroom stalls for each gender then two large private shower rooms across the hall. Easy booking via Parka app made it a breeze and allowed us a late arrival. Superb for northern lights as well, which we got on our first night!
We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
