It's been a little over a year now since Adam and his father set us up with our fantastic quartz countertop and I can say with confidence that they did work. My wife and I had our countertops damaged by flooding (from above no less) in our condo. We contacted and searched at various businesses for options and really had no idea what we wanted. It can be confusing when your considering different material and there are different prices within each. I reached out to Palmyra and Adam suggested I come in to look at their quartz slabs. He and his father met us on a Saturday, a day they typically have off, and took the time to personally show us different options within their warehouse. They made recommendations to us based on our kitchen and showed us a slab that was absolutely perfect for us! We felt that we were being taken care of and that they were being honest as they gave us a quote. They also talked to us about their business and how important it is to them to do good, honest work as it's a family business that represents the character of their family. We live in DC and they came to do measurements and explain the process. When they came to do the installation (after a very quick turnaround) they removed our old countertop and installed the new one. They did everything professionally. We ended up having an unexpected issue with our dishwasher being too low and causing the quartz to slant. Luckily they were able to think of a solution to shim wood behind the dishwasher - another contractor we were working with was there and helped them to solution lol. A year of use later and we cant recommend Palmyra enough. We've had no issues and love our countertop. We felt good about every aspect of picking out the quartz, the cutting, installation, and final price. It was the least expensive when we compared them (same quartz) with other businesses in the area. When we move and if we need another countertop we will definitely choose to work with them again. P.s. go with quartz you won't regret not having to maintain it or worry about damaging it :)

Working with Palmyra was a great experience. After shopping around at granite suppliers and selecting my slab, I got estimates from several granite fabricators around Fairfax. Although Palmyra was not the cheapest option using slabs available from suppliers, they had a similar slab already available in-house that they offered for the lowest price I could find. There were several reasons why they ended up being a couple cuts above the rest: - They were willing to come out a measure my space without asking for a deposit. After the final measurements, they actually adjusted the sqft of my space down, lowering my final cost compared to the initial estimated cost. - They were very transparent about the granite I chose, warning about the potential complications of the slab (even though it could have cost them the sale!). - They were very patient and willing to meet with me to show the slab and measure out my layout. - Communication was great -- if they missed a call, I received a call back within the hour. - There was concern about whether my countertop could be cut out of the slab in a single piece given the sink configuration, but the owner came up with a solution to give the piece more support and was able to fabricate it without any seams! - Finally, the installation was extremely professional. I was seriously surprised about the level of detail the installers took to match the new countertop to my current kitchen configuration. Without me asking, they lifted my dishwasher to hide a gap between the dishwasher and the countertop (my old countertop had an overhang). They caulked some of the gaps between my current tile backsplash and countertop. They found a plumber for me that handled the reattachment of the drainage system to the sink, and when a tiny leak presented itself, was very involved in making sure the plumber returned to fix it. All in all, I was very satisfied and extremely pleased with the final results. Thank you so much!!
