SGS Electrical Solar & Air Conditioning

Our small, 33-year-old house had 17-year-0ld solar panels - the first at their time, which when new, together produced 750W. Efficiency gradually dropped to about 100W with age, so it seemed to be time to replace them with latest technology, high efficiency panels. We wrote a tender for latest panels and a supporting battery, without specifying equipment sizes, but describing our required system performance data in the tender. SGS then submitted the most credible quote, which met all our tender requirements. Concurrently we had to restore and reseal our roof, which required a separate tender and different company. SGS then came and removed the old panels beforehand and installed the support risers for the new panel system, after which the roof was completely restored and sealed. Following the roof restoration SGS then installed the solar panels and battery, all on one day. 3 persons worked efficiently and quickly and kept us informed of progress. Once all components had been installed and switched on, SGS populated the Smartphone app with which we can monitor the system, and we could see exactly how/when and how much power was produced, and where it went. They tested all components, applied guidance and warning stickers and then cleaned up the construction site meticulously. All wiring was done very neatly. SGS completed all works and installations professionally and worked conscientiously, which gave us great confidence in the system, which should pay for itself in about 8 years. Having been in the building industry myself, and retired now, I can highly recommend SGS for this professional work and have awarded them 5 stars.

I got a quote for new solar and battery from SGS. The process went very smoothly and Glenn was a pleasure to talk to, always helpful in answering questions that I had, as well as keeping me up-to-date with when the batteries would be available. There is currently a large backlog of batteries, but luckily Glenn had put in a pre-order when I got the quote, so that I was able to get the installation happening in November. Note that the government rebate for batteries decreases after each calendar year. The removal of the old solar system and installation of the new panels and battery went smoothly, and the installers cleaned up after completion. I highly recommend SGS for solar and batteries.
