I've had JB Nets for almost 15 years now and the only reason I ever got and stayed with them is they are literally the only option I have where I live besides satillite. And I guess they know it. I can see from my yard the tower that broadcasts the signal to my small neighborhood. Perhaps a mile in a straight line. The home office is less than a half mile away in a straight line. The service should be good/great here. But it is not. It sucks. If I'm streaming and have to go back 10 sec because I missed something it always takes a very long time. Other wifi providers I see aren't like that, and it feels like a luxury. Everything is slow but especially scrolling on Tiktok or other video platforms. Gaming is slow and I'm always the guy with the slowest wifi on the team. I glitch and lock up and it is NOT due to hardware. I even upgraded it to a faster option a few years back. No difference. I talked to one of their employees who was here on a service call and he said the equipment on the tower that supplies my neighborhood is outdated. That was a couple or so years ago and I think it was a slip. He wasn't supposed to say that. Instead of upgrading their equipment to a modern standard they spent a great deal of money "renovating" their home offices so that it's like a whole new much larger, much nicer building now. They obviously have been making profits but instead of using it to better the service for those who paid for that profit they built themselves a much bigger, much fancier place for *them* to work at. I still have absolute crap wifi that just happens to be out at the moment. No wifi = no TV, no games or any real computer use. No music either. TP Link if I'm wrong in any of this then please tell me how. I think you need to do better.
