⭐️ 1 STAR – A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH
We paid over $4,300 for professional packing and moving services, and what we received was the most stressful, damaging, and emotionally exhausting experience of our lives.
Day 1 began positively with two respectful workers who removed their shoes and treated our home with care. Once additional workers arrived later that day, the professionalism immediately declined. One arrived smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, despite the company’s website clearly stating there is to be no smoking or vaping on the job. Shoes were worn inside, dirt was tracked through our home, and the tone of the entire day shifted for the worse.
Day 2 was significantly more troubling. Despite the company’s website clearly stating that items are wrapped before being moved to the truck, everything that I personally witnessed was carried out of the house completely unwrapped. Items were staged outside on a tarp and then taken into the truck, where any wrapping appeared to occur out of view. I never once witnessed proper wrapping taking place outside. In some cases, items were placed directly onto gravel or grass. Workers were also actively eating while handling our furniture and clothing, directly violating their own policies. When wrapping was later visible, it was minimal and inadequate, often just a single light pass with thin wrap. We are now finding puncture damage, scuffs, and deep scratches that reflect how insufficient this process was.
We own valuable antiques, restored vintage furniture, collectibles, and deeply sentimental items. No proper walkthrough was completed before quoting. We were transparent that we have far more than an average household. We were told one truck and one day would be sufficient. This was completely inaccurate. A second truck was required. Promised wardrobe boxes did not arrive until extremely late, after a worker had to go to Home Depot to purchase more. My most delicate clothing was packed hastily and without care. I even had to ask workers to wash their hands before handling my clothes after they had been working in the garage.
The mishandling of furniture was shocking. Two china cabinets with glass shelving were not properly disassembled or protected. The original vintage electrical cord in one of the cabinets was completely shredded in transit. It was pristine before the move and is now dangerously frayed and unusable.
The damages are extensive and continue to be uncovered as we unpack:
• A computer chair with a hole through the back
• A sectional couch damaged after wrapping was refused because it “took too much time”
• Paintings done by my mother packed without protection
• Clothing found with visible boot or shoe marks
• China cabinets mishandled with collapsed glass shelving, cracked structure, and a destroyed vintage power cord
• A television that fell from the truck during unloading and was not reported to us
• Other televisions transported without proper TV boxes, only covered with blankets
• Countless scratches, scuffs, and damaged furniture
