I don't normally comment on issues, however, this one got to me: I took a job to Chris to look at October, 2021. He said he could do the welding repair to a 1951 ceramic sink I wanted to restore. I took the piece to him in November, he was too busy, and asked me to bring it in January, he could do it then. I did NOT really wish to give up more time waiting, however, Chris came recommended so I went with him. I was not in a real hurry to get repaired, but still needed him to powder coat all the parts to complete the restoration for our pool remodel kitchen project. Tuesday January 14th, Chris helped me unload it at his shop as he requested. February, 16th, I called to check on progress. No answer. Left message, no reply. February 18th, called again. no answer, left message. No reply. February 25th, again, called, no answer. Left vm. no reply. Drove the his shop, doors closed. no one there. beginning to get concerned, I taped the first note to his door, asking him to please followup with me. . . . All 11 of my calls (all verified) note and voice messages throughout February, March, and well into April, UNRESPONSIVE. Period. I drove by several times early morning, mid day and evenings. NO ONE was ever there. No response. No messages returned. FRUSTRATION now really setting in. April 11, 2022, again, drove to his shop, doors closed, no one in sight. I taped another note to his door, this time indicating "IF I DID NOT GET A REPLY IN 48 HOURS, I WOULD BE FORCED TO CONTACT AUTHORITIES" .April 13th he finally replied to a message: - ' SINK IS OUTSIDE". I've had plans to get this done last November, now into its 6 month, I was excited to pick it up and see what kind of job Chris did. The sink was indeed outside, UN TOUCHED. He did nothing. He never responded, replied, called me back, nutt'n. He sent me this text; "yea, you told me no rush so as jobs get scheduled a little job that I'm making nothing on gets put on the back burner." he continues: " go buy a new sink if you want something done over night"! WHAAAAT? WHAT THE?? ??. , . .I NEVER ASKED for overnight service! I NEVER EVEN ASKED for a price! DO NOT THROW ME UNDER THE BUS if you dont make money on a certain project, it is not the CUSTOMERS FAULT, right??? I just wanted the job to get done and my money is just as green as the next guys money. .. . sheeesh. what a businessman. VERY DISAPPOINTED at Chris agreeing "HE WOULD DO THE JOB" and taking on a project that for me, STARTED BACK IN NOVEMBER, when indeed, he didnt really want to do. I am now 6 months behind schedule and now I have to research a much more professional, willing and able shop to do what I need to get done. Chris, IF YOU did not want to to the job, it would have been better to tell me from day one. . .instead of leading me down this path of unprofessional business practices now causing me grief and much delay in my project. You need to consider the 10/250 rule of business: DO one customer a good deed, he will tell 10 people. DO one customer a bad deed, he will tell 250 people. The first of my 250 has begun.
