Mac’s is top notch and does great work. I took my Focus ST in to fix some rusted, incorrectly placed exhaust hangers (bought exhaust used) and they went above and beyond to explain what they were going to do to fix the exhaust. I was so happy I booked an appointment and took my old BMW in to fix my old, sagging 20 year old customs exhaust. Again, superb work and explanations. A big plus for me is a shop that walks you back into the garage to show you exactly what they are doing & how they are going to do it. As opposed to just telling you and making you wait in the waiting room. Mac and the staff were awesome to talk to, were open & honest, and were reasonably priced for the workmanship and time they spent. Bonus: Mac was awesome and let me walk my boys around the shop looking at cars, helping to spark that automotive passion in them. Will definitely solely use Mac’s for any other exhaust work that I need done in the future.

Nice guy, horrible work. Was told a couple of my friends had gone to Mac for their exhausts welded, so I did the same. Went in to get a Dinan muffler installed and welded properly. Checked fitment through the Dinan and various other performance websites. I knew that there needed to be a Y-pipe installed because my model had a dual-exhaust system beforehand. Went in, Mac was super nice and explained what he had to do. Different from what I expected, the resonator had to be removed for the Y-pipe to be installed. I trusted his opinion because he was the expert. Was quoted $350 on the spot and was given a time estimate of "a couple of hours," verbatim. Went back to the shop after 4 hours after dropping off and the car was not being worked on. He had to yell at some other employees to "get to work." I saw in real time the job getting rushed and welds being performed while the exhaust was on the car. 1. Was not contacted about "extra work" that had to be done to fit the exhaust on. Because I own a convertible, there are extra braces on the back that made it difficult to install. It was an extra $100 and was only disclosed to me during payment. Would have liked a heads-up or even a "I can't do this, it doesn't fit" anytime during installation. 2. Welds look absolutely horrible. Mac was not the one who did these welds. These teenagers were doing them. Regardless of who is looking at this work, it looks messy and rushed. They were also done while the exhaust was on the car. See for yourself in the photos. 3. I had done work to the car's drivetrain less than a week before bringing the car to the shop, so I was well aware of the undercarriage and what bolts were taken on/off. Bolts were left loose in multiple spots and threads were messed up. The rear plate that the cross member connects to was misaligned, shown in the photos. One of the braces were not even tightened all the way as a whole. I watched them struggle with where the ziptie sits now. It was ziptied before, but properly aligned and not loose. However, I did not expect them to do such a poor job. One of my jackpoints is missing as well. This shows absolutely no care for quality. 4. Owner quoted an extra $350 for a resonator to be welded back on because the muffler itself sounded really bad. If my stock resonator had to be removed for everything to fit, I understand. But another $350? That is ridiculous. Please do your research and make sure Mac is working on your car himself. I do believe that the outcome would have been much better in different circumstances. All photos were taken two days after installation. Have not touched anything or hit any bumps. Extremely disappointed.
