Today was the grand opening of the new Asian Madness Buffet, located at 299 S. Pompano Parkway in Pompano Beach. For those having a hard time with directions, it sits on the corner of Powerline Road and N. Course Drive, where the old Ruby Tuesday used to be, near the restaurant La Vie, or across Powerline Road from the Pomp. Madness Buffet is an Asian-fusion eatery at war to invade the Palm-Aire territory. This culinary campaign is led by the troupe of General Tso, reinforced by Japanese samurai and Mongolian allies, marching boldly against the dominance of Italian and Mediterranean restaurants. Their headquarters offers a refreshingly and beautifully revamped modern American décor, a departure from the traditional gold-and-red murals and ornate Chinese lanterns. I know it is probably too early to tell, but surprisingly, in its very first battle, the food was wonderful. The variety of dishes was abundant, featuring all the traditional favorites we Americans are familiar with, along with an impressive and colorful array of beautifully crafted sushi rolls, complemented by a skilled hibachi master—chop-chop, Sensei! The choices were so vast that I could only sampled a little bit of everything, except for the sushi (that will be saved for my next visit, very soon). Our group of six dared to embark on this unknown adventure, and to our delight, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the offerings. I ran into many local friends and neighbors who were also adventurous there tonight, and I asked each one what they thought of the food. Everyone was elated. I know there are many of you out there who will find something to criticize, but I am confident the majority of Palmairenians residents and neighboring communities will agree that Asian Madness Buffet offers a great bang for your buck. In today’s high-priced economy, their rates are very reasonable: Weekday Lunch – Adults $15.99; Children (7–10) $10.99; Kids (3–6) $8.99 Dinner – Adults $22.99; Children (7–10) $15.99; Kids (3–6) $13.99 Seniors – Lunch $14.99; Dinner $20.99 When the buzz begins to circulate around town, I anticipate there will truly be some “Madness” to get to this "Buffet".

This might be the best Asian buffet in Southeast Florida. Excellent food and service. Even your tableware is high quality, heavy, and branded. This restaurant is located in a very nice, clean and safe community. The bathrooms are clean, kept up, and modern. The appearance of the buffet islands is stylish. There is nothing broken, duct-taped, wobbly, or worn-out. I will be returning again.
