Big wins for the underdogs 👏🚀
Huge shoutout to @City Elevator in Detroit for absolutely crushing it on an elevator modernization at @Morley Manor, a high-rise residential cooperative in Dearborn that’s home to 300+ senior citizens—with just two elevators serving the entire building. No pressure, right?
City Elevator went up against some of the biggest names in the industry after the cooperative board, guided by the fantastic elevator consultant, Pete Long, made the smart call to widen the bid pool. And wow—did that decision pay off.
From the interview process on, City Elevator stood out with their sincerity, commitment, and heart. They didn’t just talk about service—they designed it. The team came up with creative, resident-friendly communication strategies so everyone always knew what was happening, and they delivered lightning-fast response times whenever an elevator hiccupped while renovations were done one at a time.
This project is a reminder that size isn’t everything. Passion, creativity, and genuine care for people make all the difference—especially when serving a senior community that depends so heavily on reliability and trust.
Way to go, City Elevator. 💙
And a special callout to Vince McCliment, Brenda Virzi, and Ryan Robinson—this team set the bar for what clear, consistent communication should look like. City Elevator delivered truly top-tier service with a down-home, personal feel. When we needed service, we reached a live person who was actually part of their team. We received personal text messages, phone calls, and proactive check-ins throughout the entire process. Even more impressive, City Elevator was one of the very few companies willing to promise a short timeline—and then actually deliver on time and on budget. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the entire team, and the project was absolutely seamless from start to finish. 💯👏
