Being that my son and I are still coming off our adrenaline rushes two days later, this review may be all over the place. But, here we go…
We have Anita Coulton’s detailed and exciting presentation on the Upper Delaware and Cross Current Outfitters to thank for our introduction to this amazing fishery and operation. Thanks, Anita!
From the first booking call to the final takeout, this team of exceptional guides and teachers created a unique experience matched by very few. It was clear throughout that they are closely aligned with Orvis’ exceptional customer service focus.
Our first day was with 30-year Upper Delaware veteran, Tim Oliphant. Tim put us on fish 50’ from the put in. Here he taught us about the importance of observation, cleaned up some of our bad habits (mostly ;)), refined our presentations, made us laugh, and helped us relax into a fine day of fishing.
Tim seems to be on a first name basis with all of the fish, and certainly is with most anglers, on the Upper Delaware. Do yourself a favor and invest in becoming a more refined and effective angler with Tim. Many thanks, Tim!
Day two review to come….
This past Thursday my dad and I had the pleasure of sharing the water with Anita Coulton. To say it was a fun day would be an understatement. Right from the get go, I knew that no matter if I caught fish or not it was going to be a great day. Anita is such a great teacher and put us on fish at almost every turn in the river. I loved her competitive nature pushing me to try a different technique or a certain type of cast.
Besides fishing she was a super funny and positive person to be around making it feel like I was fishing with a life long friend. This day out on the Delaware was truly one of the best times I’ve had fishing in a very long time, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. Really looking forward to getting back up to Hancock next spring.
