Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and absolutely amazing food! The samosa chat was a tantalizing mix of textures and warm, tangy spices--legitimately the best I've ever had. Next up was chicken sizzling momo which literally arrived at the table sizzling (see photo evidence!). The chicken filling was so bright and herby that I completely forgot about the two dipping sauces. And apologies for no photo of the Chicken Chilli (with rice), just could not wait to dive into this delectable dish. Perfect mix of spice in the red peppery sauce, chicken was flavorful and tender. This was my first experience with Nepalese cuisine, but it won't be my last! This restaurant is going into my regular rotation, do yourself a favor and check it out!

We ordered Momos (Dumplings Nepali style). Chilli Momos (8 pieces), Sizzling Momos (8 pieces) and steamed Momos (6 pieces). All with chicken stuffing. They were all good. Wanted to try their Thali or their Nepali platter but the host/server said our order was plenty and he was right. We ended up bringing 8omos home. Will try the rest of the food next time.

Broke a 2 year review hiatus to share my delightful experience here. My husband and I got take out for my birthday last night and tried Momo Garden for the first time. I saw their 15% off note for birthdays on the door and while they don’t honor that discount for takeout, they did run to the kitchen to give a complimentary rice pudding. We ordered gobi manchurian, butter chicken, lamb curry and naan, and every single thing was delicious. The employees were so sweet, the food was amazing, and the portions were just right, I only wish we’d dined in! Had no idea it would be so cozy, pretty, and fragrant inside. We’ll be back soon.

My first experience with Nepali cuisine - it was outstanding! While drawing on Indian and Chinese influences, Nepali spices and cooking styles reveal exciting, new flavors. If you like Indian food, give yourself a treat and try this place! And if you like Chinese food, you will be amazed at the subtle extensions beyond that classical portfolio. I will come back often. Truly superb and rewarding. And their drinks are spiced to coordinate with and augment the meals!

This was my first time eating Nepalese food. This was the best food I’ve tasted. The quality of the ingredients were superb and it reflected in the taste of the food. The waiter was so attentive and an amazing person. The setup is beautiful inside. I would highly recommend dining in at this establishment.

tried this adorable little restaurant by our local stop and shop, and wow we were amazed!! the service was exceptionally friendly and the food was delicious. they even gave us little cups of tea before our meal. i tried the palak paneer and my wife had the butter paneer, both were divine (probably the best paneer we’ve ever had). the naan was so perfect, soft, and buttery. we will be back for sure, and you should try too!!

5 stars for Mono Garden Nepalese Restaurant. The food was incredible—especially the momos—and everything was packed with authentic flavor. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. Highly recommend. If you’re in the Poughkeepsie area and looking for something unique and delicious, this place is absolutely worth it. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. 5 stars all the way.

So pretty! This place is so elegant and aesthetically pleasing. There’s a beautiful bar and private rooms in the back for parties. We had amazing customer service—they started us off with tea. We had the chicken biryani, chicken dumplings, noodles, and mango lassi. The food was so yummy!

While the steamed chicken momos were good, we ordered the veggie chowmein and were very disappointed. To be quite frank, it was a bowl of spaghetti with what seemed to be frozen veggies heated up. This feels like a disservice and unfair to the customer to be charging $17 for this. The butter chicken was okay, but a tad sweet for a savory meal. The server was nice and the ambiance is calming, but the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there.
