My experience over the past two months has been incredibly frustrating and costly. I've used Mathew for my Airbnb property's pool maintenance for about a year. Two months ago, I started noticing the pool water was cloudy and muddy, leading to multiple guest complaints. I brought this to Mathew's attention, and he attributed the problem to a faulty pump. I agreed to replace it, incurring a $1000 charge. Unfortunately, replacing the pump did not improve the situation. The pool remained muddy, and the filter needed to be drained weekly (instead of the usual monthly) due to excessive mud. I repeatedly contacted Mathew to express my concerns, but my messages went unanswered, and my situation was ignored. I felt completely gaslighted. The final straw was last Monday, after his maintenance visit, when my pool turned completely green. Frustrated, I did my own research (with the help of AI, as I'm not a pool professional) and concluded that the filters were likely clogged with algae, redirecting dirty water back into the pool. I immediately called another company. They arrived quickly, confirmed my suspicions—the filters were severely clogged with algae and appeared to have been neglected for a very long time. They cleaned them on the spot. The next day, they returned to add necessary chemicals. It's now been 48 hours, and my pool is significantly clearer—a vast improvement over the last two months. We expect it to be fully back to normal within the next 48 hours. This experience clearly showed a lack of proper maintenance and responsiveness from Mathew's service.
