I honestly and truly can’t quantify the experience I had in having Maritza (BCBA) and Josue (RBT) with just five stars. From the beginning of this journey I had gone in as an exhausted single father who was tired of being told what was best for my son by “professionals” who promised the moon and then delivered a snow globes worth in sub standard and antiquated practices, chastising attitudes, language barriers and careless attitudes. I expressed this to Maritza which should of scared her off, but instead she said “we can do this” and then delivered on finding me a young, enthusiastic, intelligent and studious analyst in training (Josue) since I was a single dad, my son responds to male authority figures a bit better than female currently. Then I asked for play led therapy, not soft or non challenging but more geared towards understanding and acceptance as opposed to standardization, societal acceptability, and pardon my French, bullshit masking strategies. She not only delivered with acuity and thoughtfulness but with her empathy, open minded methods, patience and actual passion for her clients. Both her and Josue are the best I’ve encountered and I’m beyond grateful to have them in my sons life. CHAT GPT didn’t write this. Their Hard work, dedication and an exhausted father wrote this.
