Judy Shipman (Kayak Lady)
First off, Mary Jo raised the price of the project twice, and we agreed to pay the increase. Her worker was worried about the framing board, saying that Mary Jo wanted it back. We were ok with a 2" divit in the concrete for the water hose but not the 2 1/2' piece that they cut out. She blamed my husband from deviating from the plans that the county approved, saying that my husband had no right to change the plans. It was never her worker's fault, just my husband's fault for saying that he was okay with the divit. She stated that she paid for the permit when we wrote a $350 check to her specifically for the permit. Upon calling her, she continued to blame my husband, yelling at me, saying it would cost another $600 for her to fix the mess that was created. She stated that it would cost us another $200 as she was being kind and "splitting" the cost of the job which she was going to pay her workers $400 & waste a day on this "repair". She had promised to fix this on the 18th through the 22nd of September. She was a no-show, no call, text, email, and no communication at all. She is now refusing to acknowledge or answer any emails or text or have any communications with us. She has refused to call for an inspection, which we are going to the building inspector on our own. If we have to tear the driveway up, I will seek legal actions. She also asked to be paid in cash as opposed to a check. We also found big chunks of concrete under our trailer.
