Alex at Gencon truly brought my husband and I's dream home to life. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He’s talented, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled at what he does. We initially brought Alex on to install floating LVP flooring with seamless transitions and hardwood stairs throughout our 3,800 sq ft home in Camas, WA. Since this was our first major remodel, we had already selected and purchased the flooring before hiring him. As it turns out, we chose a newer product that’s known to be very difficult to work with (and unfortunately non-returnable). Despite that, Alex approached the project with professionalism and care, taking his time to install everything meticulously—and it paid off. The floors turned out beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. As we continued working together, we learned that Alex is also highly skilled in plaster work, which is no easy craft. We had a custom TV/fireplace media wall and wanted a plaster finish there, along with our primary bathroom. To tie everything together, we also decided to plaster our kitchen hood vent to bring more warmth and contrast into an otherwise very white space. Our home has a light-and-dark design theme, and Alex executed it perfectly. We’re so happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Alex. I’d work with him again in a heartbeat. We recently worked with GenCon, a family-owned business, and the experience truly surpassed all of our expectations.
