Down to Earth Auto Electrics

We had experienced issues with the lights, electric brakes, and fridge running on 12volts when traveling. The lights (indicators and break lights) would randomly work and stop working when travelling. We would leave home and they would be working, then wouldn’t work at the next corner. We had friends following and they confirmed this was happening. The bigger issue was that the break controller would flash red when the fridge was running on 12volts resulting in poor breaking of the caravan. Or if I turned the fridge off the brakes would work perfectly. It was either spoilt food or trying to stop 1950kg of caravan with just the car brakes. After calling Jordan, at Down to Earth Auto Electrics, and discussing the issue, he arranged to come to my home to remedy the issue. This worked perfect for me as I was working from home he could slot me in at time that was convenient to both of us and I didn’t have to take the car and caravan anywhere. Within a short time Jordan had my issues sorted. Everything is working as it should be. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Down to Earth Auto Electrics again. Specially when the original auto electrician told me that the brake controller flashing red is pretty normal and the breaks are still working. Maybe they were but not efficiently. Thank you Jordan for sorting everything out I can now travel with more confidence that people behind me know what I am doing, and I can stop quicker when required.

My daughter had an issue with the power steering on her Subaru. Our mechanic and his auto electrician couldn't work it out. We got Jordan to come check it out, he had the issue narrowed down, went off to get some part quotes but also came back to test a couple more things just in case, and worked out the real issue and fixed it on the spot. Saved my daughter up to 3 thousand dollars. Really good communication and genuinely wanted to solve the issue rather than just replace expensive parts. I highly recommend this guy to everyone.

My wife and I own a 2023 Fiat Ducati Avan Ovation Motorhome and we have just started our 5 week holiday. We are on are way to do the Lap of Tasmania and as we travelled from our hometown of country NSW, we noticed no that our Thetford N4000 3 way fridge was not operating on the 12V battery mode and would continually blow the fuse. When we arrived at Wangaratta for the night and after reading the reviews on Google, I called Down to Earth Auto Electrics and spoke to Jordan. I explained to Jordan the situation and that I was arriving in Geelong tomorrow, before boarding the Spirit of Tasmania the next day. Although Jordan was fully booked, he offered to still help me with the situation and would meet us on-site once we arrived at Geelong. Jordan arrived at the same time as we did and went straight to work. Jordan diagnosed the issue promptly and offered us some options to fix the issue at hand. Jordan had the issue fixed in a very timely professional manner and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I also had Jordan carry out further auto electric testing whilst he was here, just for peace of mind before we started the big lap of Tasmania.
