About
Our office offers a new kind of medicine. We provide customized health care for you and your family.

Abbi Sorrells is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion to help people live their best lives.

She specializes in functional medicine, testosterone replacement therapy, women's hormone therapy, weight loss, and performance optimization.

If you are looking for a traditional medical experience, you have come to the wrong place. We are here to work with you to address your complaints and offer alternative therapies to help address your symptoms. We treat the patient, not the labs.

If you are looking for a new kind of medicine, you have found the right place. We offer many services for both men and women. We encourage you to make an appointment and see why patient's are choosing to forgo the standard medical offices.

Our patient's enjoy access to our provider by in-office appointments, tele-health visits when needed, as well as a patient portal to text or email with questions they may have between visits.

This is next-level care for patient's and we truly believe this is the way medicine should be.

We cannot wait to meet you and work with you to help you achieve your best health!

What is functional medicine?

Functional medicine is a different medicine model. It is a patient-centered approach to help treat, eliminate, or prevent chronic illness and disease. We seek to find the root cause of symptoms and/or illness and not just a medication to treat it. This is how we were founded, Rooted Integrative Health + Aesthetics. We pride ourselves in providing personalized care for each patient. We spend a significant amount of one-on-one time with our patient's discussing your concerns, symptoms, medical history, and family history.  This is so important as this helps us to identify the root cause (or possibly causes) of you illness. Some of the common things that we find leading to chronic illness is poor nutrition, poor sleep, disruptions in your microbiome (these are the bacteria that live within and on your body), stress, genetics, toxins, or overall lifestyle.

What happens at your first appointment?

Once you schedule an appointment with our office, you will receive an email with many consents for our office. This includes pricing, which we always discuss before your appointment, consents for treatment, and several health questionnaires which are very extensive. By filling out this paperwork, we are able to prepare for your visit.  We spend our time face-to-face with you, not typing in our computer. Some of the things we will discuss, as well as have included in your health questionnaires, include your current lifestyle (what do you eat, do you exercise, life stressors, etc), family history, and overall mental well-being.

When you come for your first visit, you will check-in at the front desk. You will be greeted by either our Medical Assistant or Receptionist. Once you are in a room, we will obtain your vitals. Then, you will have a one-on-one visit with Abbi. She will go over your health history using the forms you filled out prior to your appointment. We will discuss the information on your forms and may ask additional questions. You will then have a physical examination. Once your exam is complete, we go over your goals. This helps us drive our treatment and recommendations. We will then discuss recommendations with you. This may include several things but is not limited to diet, lifestyle, and/or supplements.  We will go over recommendations for labs or other testing, this could include blood work or other specialized labs that we recommend based on your health history, symptoms, or medical concerns you have discussed this us.  At that time, we can collect your blood work, if highly specialized labs are ordered, you may have to return to collect these.
