I was fortunate to be a TISOH student twice. The knowledge and connections made during my time as a student are invaluable and it led to so many opportunities in my career. I truly enjoyed having recognized experts as the class instructors and all the lessons were specific and relevant to the current industry. Not to mention, having live panels with industry professionals and site visits with the top venues and vendors were incredibly insightful. I am genuinely grateful to TISOH and its faculty members for facilitating a learning experience that was life changing.

TISOH is definitely the place to go if you really have a passion for hospitality. I just graduated this August of 2019 and i have to say that it is truly an amazing experience. They are hands on with everything and the people you work and study with are awesome. SUPPORT is the big reason that many succeed. SUCCESS is everything here and all the instructors are so experienced and talented in what they do. If any of you read this comment, please don't look any further past TISOH. This is truly the one school that will prepare you for your future. It doesn't get any more real than this.

I was so excited about this program and opportunity, only to discover that TISOH was not a good fit for me. Unfortunately, the program seems to teach, the principles of hospitality, but fell tremendously short of the standard. The proficiency of the educators did not reflect the performance level expected of the student, and many teachers seemed more inclined to grade, on a basis of personal opinion, Vs the guidelines of the official rubric. After addressing the academic environment, to no avail, the social environment fostered by the instructors became more mean-spirited and passive aggressive: which seemed to be further reflected in my grades. I ultimately left, the program feeling valuable time had been wasted, and my creativity, deliberately stifled. Although, I thought it'd be best for me to continue my education elsewhere, There are staff members and administrators that exemplify the core of hospitality however, they were not my instructors.

I was looking for a school that would help me figure out and get into the event industry. TISOH hands down helped equip me and taught me on how to navigate that path. After taking the CMEP class, I felt I gained quite a bit of knowledge and lingo when it comes to the event industry.

I learned everything I needed to know to enter the hospitality industry. The instructors work in the industry and it shows. I highly recommend TISOH!
