405 Equipment (Lexington, OK): Absolute Dishonesty – Charged $1200 for One Day of Faulty Equipment

My experience with 405 Equipment in Lexington, OK, was a complete disaster and a costly lesson in poor customer service and highly questionable business practices.
In August, I rented a piece of heavy equipment (a tractor) for a necessary project. The machine was clearly not properly maintained. After less than one full day of operation, the clutch failed entirely, rendering the equipment unusable and putting my entire project on hold.
Upon notifying 405 Equipment, I was shocked to find that despite the tractor breaking down immediately due to what was clearly a pre-existing mechanical issue (a bad clutch), they refused to issue a full refund.
Worse, they charged me the full weekly rental rate of almost $1200 for just a single day of use of a broken machine.
This blatant disregard for the customer is made worse by the fact that their own rental agreement guarantees operational equipment. They knowingly charged me for a defect that directly violated the terms of the contract and refused to make it right. It’s clear they were aware the clutch was failing.
Do not trust 405 Equipment. They will rent you faulty equipment and then charge you exorbitant rates for their mistake while refusing to honor their guarantee. Rent elsewhere if you expect equipment that actually works and a company that stands by its contracts.
