On November 5th, we said goodbye to our beloved dog Sugar, who had been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure just two weeks earlier. After initial signs of improvement with SubQ fluids, we held onto hope and pursued IV treatment and further bloodwork. Sadly, the results were worse than expected. Sugar rallied briefly—climbing stairs, barking at sounds outside—but soon declined rapidly. He stopped eating, experienced diarrhea, and grew increasingly weak. Yet even in his final days, he showed incredible dignity, walking himself to the yard to relieve himself and quietly lying down to rest. That evening, after a heartbreaking episode of vomiting blood and labored breathing, we knew it was time to let him go peacefully. We contacted Dr. Mesa’s team late at night, and they responded promptly, scheduling the euthanasia for 10 a.m. in the morning. Dr. Mesa arrived around 10:20 and texted beforehand to confirm her arrival time. She was calm, compassionate, and professional. She asked about Sugar’s condition, explained the process clearly, and gave us time to say goodbye. After the first sedative injection, we were given 10 minutes alone with Sugar. The second injection followed, and he passed gently, as if falling into a peaceful sleep. The team was thoughtful in every detail—from the warm blanket and pillow, to the quiet respect they showed throughout. It felt like Sugar was simply resting in his favorite spot. While our hearts are broken, we’re deeply grateful that his final moments were pain-free and dignified. For fellow pet parents facing similar loss, I recommend two books that brought us comfort: “There Are No Sad Dogs in Heaven” by Sonya Fitzpatrick “Signs from Pets in the Afterlife “by Lyn Ragan These helped us believe that Sugar has crossed the rainbow bridge and is at peace. We’ve been told it will take 2–3 weeks before we can bring Sugar’s ashes home, and we’re patiently waiting to welcome him back Thank you, Dr. Mesa, and your team for helping us give Sugar the gentle farewell he deserved.

We had to put our sweet Frida to rest this week and it was the most heartbreaking and devastating thing our family has ever experienced. She was so weak after having consecutive seizures, we didn’t want her to suffer anymore. So we are grateful to Dr. Mesa for being able to come when we needed. She was gentle and gave us lots of space to say our goodbyes. She accommodated our needs to make sure Frida could go in peace and dignity, knowing she was loved. I know it’s a service, but I am also grateful that she didn’t make it feel like a transaction.

Saying goodbye to our beloved 12 year old dog, Buddy, was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but I’m so grateful this service exists to make such a heartbreaking moment a little more bearable. Our sweet boy Buddy was battling cancer and had reached a point where he was suffering deeply, experiencing seizures and pain we couldn’t take away. As much as it broke our hearts, we knew it was time to help him find peace. Being able to let him go in the comfort of our own home, surrounded by love, was a gift we’ll never forget. The team treated Buddy and us with such tenderness, compassion, and respect. They gave him a peaceful passing, with no fear or discomfort, just warmth and dignity. When they carried him away, they did so as if he were their own, with so much care and reverence. That day left a hole in our hearts, but with time, our sorrow has been met with peace, knowing we gave Buddy a gentle goodbye. We’ll always be thankful for this service and hope others can find the same comfort we did in such a painful moment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We recently had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, and we are so grateful for the compassionate care from 24 Hour At Home Pet Euthanasia. They came to our home and created a calm, loving environment for our pet’s final moments. Nothing felt rushed, they gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and treated our dog with the gentlest touch and utmost respect. Their kindness and comfort during such a heartbreaking time meant the world to us. It was clear they truly understood how much our pet was part of our family. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and caring way to let our sweet companion rest.

Heartbreaking to say goodbye to True, our Mini Aussie. So grateful 24HR Pet Euthanasia was able to come so quickly. Dr. Mimi was wonderful with us and True. Explained everything she would do, gave us time for last snuggles and kisses, never rushing us. We didn’t feel pressured to hurry up. We couldn’t have asked for a better Vet. In this difficult time we felt so much better that True could pass peacefully at home. Thank you.🙏🏻

My little kitty mewmew needed help crossing the rainbow bridge without pain. Thanks to Doc Mesa her crossing was made much easier she went peacefully over the bridge to join my other cats. Doc Mesa was very compassionate and without her help my kitty would have still been in pain and I wouldn't have felt so relieved letting her go over the bridge. Thank You Doc Mesa.

Deciding to put down my Meeko is one of the hardest decisions I have made in my 65 years. However, 24 Hour At Home Pet Euthanasia make the experience a peaceful, beautiful and honorable one. Dr. Mesa was absolutely amazing and so compassionate. Saying goodbye to my Meeko at home was so beautiful. Making the appointment, paying for the services and cremation was really made easy. I am looking forward to the day that my Meeko comes back home!

Our furbaby, Grizzy had a great life with our family. Sadly, it was his time to cross over the rainbow 🌈 Bridge. Dr. Mesa and her assistant were called and they arrived quickly. Dr. Mesa and her assistant were very kind, caring and sympathetic to the situation and offered their condolences 🙏 They covered him in a big warm blanket and put a big soft pillow under his head and then carried our big boy (165lb) out on a stretcher into their "long black vehicle". I called various companies that were recommended by our Vet. 24 Hour At Home Euthanasia was the only company that could come by the same day and was about half the cost of their competitors for the exact same services; In Home euthanasia, transportation to site, private cremation and return of ashes and paw print. I would definately recommend 24 Hour At Home Euthanasia! Terese in Alpine

I had to make the impossible decision to put down my fur baby of almost 18yrs. I chose to do at home euthanasia and it was the best experience considering it was also the worst situation. They were so informative, waited to do anything until they were given the go ahead on every step and made it both peaceful and quick. We were given private time after to make peace with what had happened and treated him with nothing less than kindness and respect while taking him away. I would recommend this to anyone and if ever put in this situation again will not hesitate to contact 24hr At Home Pet Euthanasia. Thank you for taking care of my baby during the worst time.
