We recently had the cylinder head on our Suzuki four-stroke outboard get clogged up with salt, and corrosion lead to a water breach. The boat started misfiring at low RPM, and I checked the spark plugs, and we had a spark plug full of water on the middle cylinder and milky oil. I called Tyler at Tri County Mobile Marine and explained the above issue, and based on the make/model and prior experience, he immediately diagnosed the problem over the phone. He put a new cylinder head on for us, and the boat now runs perfectly. From the time we dropped it off, Tyler communicated his progress to us via text and call (communication you don’t see with dealerships), and he finished the project honestly, quickly and at a reasonable cost. He did several oil changes on the boat to ensure all water was out of the engine; he didn’t mention this at pick-up, but I noticed later that he changed all anodes at no extra cost, which is key in saltwater. I feel he went above and beyond, and I’m confident we chose the right marine mechanic. Use Tri County Marine with confidence.
