Just a few months ago, I unfortunately had to take my lab to cheat lake animal hospital as an emergency, she ended up getting weighed, rectal exam, and an iv to be euthanized and then sent off for private cremation at that appointment… it was $330 for everything all together, with an explained breakdown of the prices on the receipt. Fast forward to now, we took our pitbull into the vet as a regular appointment here at copper ridge, where he’s established and been before, as well as made them aware that money was in fact an issue for us especially as far as extensive testing, he is the same weight and size that my lab was, he had all of the same things done, rectal exam, euthanized and cremated and the total was $510. The bill I received was not itemized it was just one line… euthanized $510. I’m not only confused by how much more money it was to take him to scheduled appointment during normal hours at his established vet than it would’ve been if I would’ve taken him in for an emergency appointment at a different vet… lost two stars for the insane increase in price with no explanation of charges versus what I had paid elsewhere.. The staff was friendly, we did see a “fill in” doctor, I believed they labeled her as, and she was also very professional and thorough. They get 3 stars for good staff!

I have a golden retriever who is 5 1/2 years old. I was looking for another veterinarian who could give her more in depth care, and I just felt that she wasn’t getting checked fully when I took her to the vet. First of all, I was just really impressed by the staff and how friendly they were, the nice clean building, and all the staff that was there. It was just so many people to help. For the first time, my dog had a full blood work up as she had a wellness visit and it did find some abnormalities which we are looking into, I’m sure glad I changed because my previous bit of five years never suggested that. So if you’re looking for a new Vet and you feel like you’re not getting enough care for your pet you love I would strongly suggest calling Copper Ridge Veterinary.
